Serge Lutens, international image maker for Shiseido Cosmetics LLC, photographer, perfumer and makeup artist, was the first to take rouge from the cheeks and use it to shadow and encircle the whole eye in 1971. Lutens took the helm at Shiseido in 1980, creating radical, art-inspired campaigns that positioned the brand's international appeal. A similar technique for Shiseido's 1984 campaign was styled on model Ines de La Fressange photographed on May 18, 1983 in makeup from his "coleurs originelles" palette for Shiseido Cosmetics in Room C at Clic Clac Studios in Paris.
Our art prints are produced on acid-free archival matte paper using archival inks. All art prints include a 1" white border around the image to allow for future framing and matting, if desired.
