Halston Fall 1972 Ready to Wear Collection

New York City provided the perfect playground for designer Roy Halston and his friends. Halston’s ideal city translated into his ideal silhouette, the shirtdress, a combination of comfort, luxury and style. Halston refined the shirtdress for his fall 1972 ready-to-wear collection to wide acclaim with the introduction of a new fabric, Ultrasuede. He then took his bestseller for a spin down Park Avenue for a Women’s Wear Daily, Best of New York photo shoot with friend, model and photographer Berry Berenson on bicycles they purchased for each other’s birthdays on May 5, 1972.

Our art prints are produced on acid-free archival matte paper using archival inks. All art prints include a 1" white border around the image to allow for future framing and matting, if desired.
